Hello! My name is Kristy Pedersen. I’m a former professional Landscape Architect who recently went FULL TIME into Real Estate! I love finding old homes that need attention and renovate them to contemporary modern spaces. I bought my first home in 2017 with an FHA 203k Renovation Loan and haven’t stopped renovating houses since.

The FHA 203k Renovation was one of the most difficult and most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. It was featured on Apartment Therapy’s before and after series in 2019 after being discovered on my Instagram account. Since then I started a new Instagram account @kphomereno to document all my home renovation progress photos and DIY projects. This blog is a way to go in more depth with the FHA renovation, lessons I’ve learned throughout the way, and explain the DIY projects in between.

I hope to inspire more people to be creative about financing the home of their dreams and take risks!
